Studying at DMED

The Department of Medicine (DMED) offers an excellent, cutting-edge education in the fields of medicine, nursing, sport sciences and molecular biotechnology. In a student-friendly, yet highly international environment, it is possible to choose between Bachelor's and Master's Degree courses, including internships and study periods abroad.

In addition to the six-year Single Cycle Degree in Medicine and Surgery, the Department includes 8 Bachelor's Degree courses in the field of health professions (4 of which are Joint Degrees with the University of Trieste), an inter-departmental Bachelor’s Degree course in Biotechnology and two Master's Degree courses.

Furthermore, the Department provides students with an efficient training network of innovative laboratories and internships, which connects hospitals and health facilities in the area, research facilities, a sophisticated simulation centre for basic and specialist medical and nursing training, and partnerships with prestigious institutions in more than 30 countries around the world.
