Descrizione generale:

The aim is to create a multidisciplinary staff exchange programme between researchers and other relevant staff members to share and spread the best practices in Newborn Screening, diagnosis and treatment of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), leading to improvement disease outcome.

A large secondments plan between EU and non-EU countries will enable collaborative research and training initiatives, covering the among them Sickle Cell Disease prevalence, genotypes and phenotypes, existing “best practices” for Newborn Screening and early diagnosis, lab diagnosis and quality assurance systems for population screening etc.
